Here at Girls Crochet Headbands HQ, we adore girls’ hair accessories–so it’s no surprise that we spend a lot of time thinking about hairstyles, too. Before we have children, we imagine our gorgeous future daughters with long, flowing Rapunzel-like hair. But in real life? Our darling daughters’ long hair doesn’t magically fix itself (and it’s not exactly a fairy tale)! Caring for and styling girls’ long hair can be a real chore. If you’re stressed by your daughter’s tresses, don’t worry–we’re here to help with six super-simple hairstyles that will keep long locks looking lovely and are easy for mom to do in just minutes!
Two Little Piggies
This style is double-cute and it’s a great way to keep her hair out of her face. Just grab two small ponytail elastics and gather up a small bit of hair on each side of your daughter’s head. Then pop a small or medium bow on top of each elastic. This style looks great with our Heart & Love Hair Bows, Korker Hair Bows, and our Mini Hair Bows!
Classic Little Piggies
Every little girl looks irresistible in pigtails! The classic pigtail can be really dressed up with a couple of beautiful bows. Our 4” hair bows are a great size to accent these pigtails!
One Little Piggie
If you’re really in a rush, you can get your darling’s hair out of her face with this cute, quick style. Just grab a ponytail elastic and pull a front section of her hair out of her face into a tiny pigtail. Then put a flower hair clip or any size hair bow over the ponytail holder to make it extra enchanting!
To get this look, simply pull a large section of hair from each side of her head to the back. Brush the top smooth, then secure with a ponytail elastic. Make it fancy by covering the elastic with a larger bow like our Double-Big Hair Bow or P.S. I Love You Hair Bow or a darling Gerber Daisy Flower Hair Clip.
Give a classic ponytail even more function by using a crochet headband to keep her hair out of her face and add color to her outfit. To give that pony a little pizzazz, add one of our big hair bows or flower hair clips over the ponytail holder. This is a perfect hairstyle for park play dates and Friday gym class.
Happily Headbanded Ever After
This is the simplest, easiest style of all! Our crochet headbands will keep even fine and slippery hair out of her face all day. Just grab a bright-colored headband and attach one or two flower hair clips or hair bows to go with the variety of colors in her outfit. There are so many ways to dress a headband up or down, but if you’re in a rush you can just throw one on by itself and get out the door with a style that’s cute and quick!
